Abby,
Hey! How ya doing? How is Felines doing? Thought I would write with a quick update on Clay & Angus. After playing around with food and medications, Angus is now at 11 pounds 5.5 ounces (his highest weight) and holding steady. He is currently on Eukanuba Low Residue and Flagyl 50 mg twice daily. Between the food and the medication, his IBD seems pretty well under control. There is still a wee bit of mucous in his bowel movements but no more blood which is a great improvement!
Clay is going back to the Cat Hospital of Chicago for a physical and blood work. It has been 6 months since he has been on Actigall. Back in both January and February, his ALT was finally normal after being around 210 for a year or so. So, I am hoping that tomorrow's blood work shows normal ALT and his physical is passed in flying colors!
These two cats, Angus and Clay, I swear are two different cats from the same mother. They have fallen in love with each other. Angus is a hoot.he has learned how to open drawers, flush toilets and turn the light switches on and off by jumping in the air all on his own. When hungry, he pulls out the fish food, takes off the top and attempts to eat the fish food. One outgoing, smart and loving cat.
I will let you all know how Clay's check goes tomorrow. Even though I feel a more than a bit burnt out from cat health problems, I am extremely grateful for both Clay and Angus. I included some photos below of my 2 cats.
Peace,
Kirsten
