Owner Surrender

Felines & Canines rescues 95% of our animals from “Open-Admission” shelters that are forced to euthanize due to time or space. It is our goal to assist these facilities that are over-burdened with stray animals and people giving up their pets. We do a very limited number of owner surrenders, which are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Felines & Canines is a “No-Kill” shelter (aka “Limited Admissions”), meaning we select the animals we accept into our shelter, we are not open to all individuals who want to give up their animals. If you have an extreme situation and would like to request our assistance, please email us at: Surrender@FelinesCanines.org

*In your email request, be sure to include a description of the animal you want to surrender, why you want to surrender them, their medical history, and if you are able to make a donation to help offset the cost of their care. We will respond within 48 hours and let you know whether or not we can assist.

Please note: we always take animals that were adopted from us back into our program.
