At any given time, about 140 cats call Felines Inc. home. For many of them our cageless no-kill shelter is a temporary stop on the way to their forever home. In 2007, almost 400 cats were adopted through the shelter. Those cats whose perfect person hasn't walked through the door yet will always have a home at Felines Inc. If you're thinking of adopting or would just like to visit, Felines Inc. is open 7 days a week!
The Chicago Animal Shelter Alliance (CASA) was formed in 2003 with the belief that the power of many organizations working together can change the future for the thousands of homeless companion animals euthanized in the City of Chicago each year. Maddie's Fund has been instrumental in getting agencies across the nation to focus on this issue. You can read about the how's and why's of Maddie's Fund athttp://www.maddiesfund.org
EVERY CAT DESERVES A NAME
Every week, cats come to Felines Inc. from shelters and municipal pounds that do not give them the dignity of a name. When they come to us, we give each cat or kitten a name of their own, as well as a promise that they will be safe from harm in our cageless, no-kill shelter. See you there!
Maestro is a handsome and sweet brown tabby and white boy who is around 4 years old. He has striking dark stripes, white paws and a great coat. Maestro is very affectionate and would do well in a home with a feline friend.
For some of the cats at the shelter, Felines Inc. has become their home, due to illness, old age or other complications. We do have more than just nine cats that are special needs. If you are interested in sponsoring a cat other than our featured cats please contact us at (773) 465-4132 or info@felinesinc.org.
